Should you use a pesticides to exterminate bed bugs?

There are NO effective pesticides for bed bug extermination … absolutely none. What these products do, however, is to offer a repellency, alerting the insects to the existence of the pesticide and sending a message ” do not come here , it is dangerous”. The repellency last 30-45 days depending what you used and how much of it was used.  Creating a repellent barrier on the exterior is a valid approach, if you are attempting to protect your house from the insects coming from the outside . Bed bugs don’t live outdoors, hence, if you use pesticides indoor and hope it will exterminate bed bugs, you are in for a big surprise. It will not only not help, but it will actually spread the infestation into the wall voids, other rooms in the house or units in hotel or multi family setting.
