What a relief!

Yesterday morning I thought I found bed bugs in my condo. Never having dealt with them before, I kicked into “Google mode,” researching be bugs and seeking a professional to consult. Since my locale in Florida had numerous pest control firms listed, I struggled with how to pick one that would turn out to be reputable. The K&A Pest Control link stood out since the firm has been in business for some time, only deals with bed bugs (not termites, lawn pests, etc.) and provides a 1-year guarantee. I called the number and am really glad I did. Thomas spent about ½ hour on the phone with me. He asked me to text photos to him while we spoke, diagnosed my situation, and provided a good deal of insight into bed bug habits and treatment. Our experience with KA has been outstanding! We we treated with care and concern. Everything was well explained. We were never judged. Thomas was kind. He explained every process in detail.
After being infestedand bitten constantly we were down to one or 2 bites a day for a couple days and then nothing. The bugs were gone! We followed the given directions. Now, a moth later, we have no evidence of bugs in the monitors. We have no bites.

Somebody paid a different company to come in and get rid of bedbugs and they didn’t tell them that their chemicals we’re not gonna work against these bugs. Thomas and his team came and took care of the problem the right way. Also, educating the people in the house on the next step after they were done spraying. Thomas has always been there to answer my questions. The crew that comes into the house is very knowledgeable on what to do and how to prepare you for the next couple of weeks. Plus you have the guarantee of a year. All the other companies just give a month. The bugs will be back in a month after they just scare them away with their solution. I’m so thankful I found his website. It’s been seven weeks since Thomases crew came in to spray end it has been bug free. Can’t say enough nice things. 2 weeks ago. Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness My worst nightmare came true, when I woke and found a bed bug on my headboard. I had been waking up for a few weeks with what I thought was a rash. I searched myself and could t if anything that whole time until that morning. I was full of soo much anxiety so I began to google “bedbug exterminator near me” and K&A came up. I called the number and Thomas at 5am and he PICKED up the phone and here I was prepared to just leave a message only. He was so calm and walked me through the whole process and he had his crew out the next day. After my first treatment, we notice immediate relief, I woke up with no bites. They did come out after 2 weeks and found no new activity. However, I still am finding dead bed bugs but ALL dead on my wood floors from the treatment but Thomas has once again assured that this means that the treatment is working and all normal part of the process. We have not found any on our beds since our initial treatment. He really is the beg bug whisper. I can’t thank him enough for helping me through this very stressful and traumatizing process.

I'm pretty sure I found the first bug the day I brought some home from a furniture store. The first exterminator couldn't find anything and told me to keep waiting until a week later I found another one, before letting me know he couldn't heat treat my place anyways and to keep waiting (?) And then I woke with bites over my face. That's when I researched and found K&A. Honestly super grateful that this company exists. Thomas answered promptly and took it seriously and identified my bug pictures via text immediately. I was most worried about doing a treatment that risked sending any bugs to my neighbors (such as spraying pesticides and forcing them to seek escape). They know what they're doing in regards to multi-unit living and the habits of bed bugs. Thomas answered my questions and Kyle was extremely nice. Made the process very easy, and make your bed a safe place to sleep during it. You can be at home when they do the treatment and it only took a few hours. I have never had to deal with bed bugs or any pest problem before and I didn’t know what to do. I reached out to two companies about 10 months before K+A. Both times I did not feel reassured because they did not explain what was happening or what they were doing. I also explained that you should stop throwing away the furniture as we can save it all, saving you serious money. I did offer, as a courtesy , that I will be willing to apply the cost of the inspection to the cost of the treatment. If you are reluctant to perform such an activity , and are looking for freebies, asking us to do “in-person” inspection completely free of charge, with your shamming tactics of an angry teenager please look elsewhere. B P 5 months ago. Discovering that your home has been invaded by bed bugs is traumatic for the entire family – it shakes you to the core to feel that your safe place has been invaded. However, working with Thomas at K&A Pest Control was the best decision we could have made. While we were nervous and upset, Thomas was calm and insightful. He is a consummate professional. He explained the process he and his team would use and the procedure that we would need to follow to eradicate the bugs. Of all the agencies that we contacted, he was the only provider that offered a guarantee to his work and the only organization who explained the need to treat the whole house. He was committed to his work, patient with our learning curve, and happy to educate us on the issue and how to try to prevent a future outbreak. Additionally, all the other providers wanted us to clear our entire house before they arrived – making us much more anxious and overwhelmed. Thomas’ team, came in, inspected and treated our house and furniture, and bagged our clothing and other soft goods that needed to be cleaned and dried. I work part-time as a nurse, and my husband works (more than) full-time. We have two small children. We were tired and in the dark. Then we hired some generic pest control company for relatively cheap. He talked a big game. Long story short, he didn't know what he was doing. He put down chemicals, dusted, etc., but had no clear game plan for how even to assess whether the bugs were gone, let alone eradicate them. So we were out a lot of money, still tired, still in the dark, still without time. It's psychologically distressing. My husband found K&A online and used their online chat at around 11pm at night. To our surprise, Thomas responded. As you'll notice on his website and certainly if you talk to him by phone or in person, he DOES have a clear, meticulous, and time-tested game plan for bed bugs. Mary sietins 11 months ago. All I can say is thank you so much Thomas. I live in a newly constructed condo with all new furniture and somehow a bedbug got in and took over my beautiful new bed. Another company told me I would have to remove everything in my closets and drawers plus take down all my curtains throughout the entire house. They would fumigate 2 treatments 2 weeks apart. R.J. 2 years ago. Several months ago, I discovered bed bugs at my parents house. Luckily, my parents were already staying with me but we had stayed at their house one night to start prepping to put their house on the market. I only saw a couple when my mother brought it to my attention; I brought chemicals from Lowes, sprayed their entire bed, and let off 3 sets of bombs in the house over the course of a month. Fast forward about 2 months from when we first discovered them, I spent the night, and when I was making the bed the next morning, I found a bed bug! I then discovered 2 days later I had several bites all over my body! Hailey Rebello 3 years ago My boyfriend woke up with a bite on his hand and made a joke about it being a bed bug, me being a hypochondriac took this extremely seriously. I suffer from anxiety so I was up all night googling and researching and it seemed to me as though we had bed bugs. I found K&A online and after reading through various websites of other companies I initially chose to contact Thomas, based on his reviews and also how detailed his website is. Thomas contacted me the following morning very early which I was thrilled about because I couldn’t wait any longer to figure out if what I had was bed bugs or not. Meredith S A year ago Best of the Best. After recently discovering that my apartment has been invaded by bed bugs was traumatic for me. I resorted to google to find out how best to handle, that’s when I came across K&A Pest Control & it was the best decision I could have made. Thomas was calm and talked me off “the ledge” as I was discarding basically everything I owned. He was patient and walked me through his entire process with much explanation. I did contact another agency, but he offered a guarantee to his work and explained the need to treat the whole apartment as well as the one above me and below me. He is committed to his work, was patient with me, and happy to educate me on the issue and how to try to prevent a future outbreak. Thomas & Heather showed up inspected the area & treated with hot steam (not harsh spray chemicals) and bagged clothing and other blankets, etc., that needed to be cleaned and dried. They will return in 10 days to inspect again, it’s really just a peace of mind knowing & trusting that I chose the right company to come in and handle this delicate situation. Steph Gamboa 2 reviews 3 years ago I just want to thank Thomas for coming and and taking care of my bed bug . When i first seen that I had one I thought I was going to die. I went to the store and bought a bed bug kit . I did everything I thought was right. Vacuum my bed and room sprayed and even put down some power. I didn't sleep in my room for a week and would go in and spray each day thinking i would kill them and that nothing would be able to live in my room. Well I was wrong. After a week or so of not sleeping in my bed I gave it a try . At about 3 am i woke up and seen one on the bed. That next morning i called Thomas who came out the next morning to come and treat my house. It took about two hours he explained what they would be doing and why it would work. He was nice .I did have to call him two time and each time he came the next day I texted him late at night he replied back right away. He still has to come out in a week to check on things but i feel as if we got it now. He was good at putting my mind to ease. I am more then happy that I chose to go with him as there are a lot of pets controls out there. Also I'm glad to know that I have 6 month guaranteed. I told Thomas my situation and he was able to work me into his schedule that day, which I was very greatful for. Thomas had performed the inspection and explained to me that there was no sign of the bed bugs that I was so very worried about. I had many questions and concerns and Thomas answered them all and alleviated all my worry. Christine Eisenhower 3 years ago I had a bedbug scare (found a live bug) and Thomas (the owner) was great - he talked me through the signs of a bedbug problem over the phone (during evening hours) and ensured that I did not panic. He took the time to stop by when he was in the area the next morning. He was honest, and did not try to sell me any unnecessary treatments, since they were not warranted in my situation. He also educated me about prevention (moving the bed away from the wall, not storing items under the bed) and I was also able to purchase some inexpensive bedbug traps from him for my bedposts. That way, I can monitor for bedbugs in the future as I am sometimes at risk from encountering them through work. I highly recommend his services! Alex Barish (AlBarArt) a year ago My family and I went on vacation to the Cape and unfortunately brought back bed bugs from the motel. Thomas was great at his job. Always showed up on time and communicated very well. He placed down traps, covered the beds/box-springs, steamed some stuff to kill the pests. Definitely couldn't have done it without him. We use mechanical methods, bed bugs biology , monitoring devices and steam to get them. A very small amount of the right dust in all the right places for residual protection. Brooke Lyons 1 review 3 years ago I moved into a new apartment a month ago only to find a bed bug scurry across my mattress this past weekend. Upon further inspection I found another and immediately started researching online for a good company to come take care of the problem as my landlord had no idea what he was dealing with and let me take charge. I knew I wanted someone who specialized in bed bug treatment and knew what they were doing and I definitely found that with K&A Pest Control, Thomas knows what he is talking about and has the experience to back it up. Upon his inspection it turns out the bugs came from the recently vacated unit upstairs. Thomas treated my entire apartment and returned the next day to treat the unit upstairs as well as my car. He left monitors in both units and will be back to check on them. I would definitely recommend K&A to anyone dealing with this problem. I read lots of postive reviews for the most part so i contacted k&a through there chat support. Luckily i ran into thomas which was extremely rude and quoted me a price of 1,750 without even receiving photos or physically seeing if i had bed bugs or not. He replyed rudely with “we do all or nothing, 1,750 period” great customer service k&a! I wished you a good night . Clearly , you could not accept it and continued texting me at 3 am . You disagreed with our price and our methodology and threatened to issue a bad review . Our methods are EXACTLY the reason why we are NO 1 in RI and Mass and extremely successful in bed bug extermination . We treat all rooms on the premises AND inspect adjacent units . You have a right to your opinion but certainly you are not our customer . I give you no permission to tell us what to do and what to charge for our services and I will certainly not give in to your threats . PERIOD .

I hope this finds you well. I wanted to drop you a note of thanks. I think now that it is 15 months with no return, I am finally starting to settle down a bit. My box spring still looks crisp white and no other signs seem to exist... and believe me I still check! Hahaha It's sort of like ptsd. I won't let anything hang to the floor and I pull Dana to check the couch occasionally- but I feel like we have turned the corner.
